The Armistice and the Treaty of Versailles
The Armistice was an agreement that ended WWI in 1918. This event took place on November 11, in a train car heading to France. This document led to the creation of The Treaty of Versailles. The treaty officially ended the war and gave the terms of punishment. The World War left eight and half million dead, twenty-one million wounded, and over seven million men were missing or were prisoners of war. In addition to that, approximately five million more died of starvation and disease. The Treaty of Versailles was an agreement made between the Allies and Germany halting the fighting in Europe. This agreement went into effect on the eleventh day of the eleventh month at eleven o' clock.
